The Deer HUB carefully monitors all our stalkers activities; how often they stalk, the number of deer despatched, and the number of deer seen on the land. In the beginning, we usually start with a low number of stalkers, and following a six-month progress review, we add to the number as [...]
All our deer stalkers receive training by us and you will find them competent, courteous, safe and effective. All stalkers hold their own insurance and are also covered by the Deer HUB’s specialist insurance policy.
That’s fine and it’s never been a problem. We can agree a plan with your gamekeeper/staff and avoid pen areas and shoot days and any other requirements you have.
Deer management license terms are agreed with you prior to us starting active operations for you. Payments are usually paid monthly by direct debit for the duration of the license.
All scheme members are provided with accurate maps with clearly marked boundaries, land features, footpaths, parking and extraction points. We use What3Words navigation points so you can easily navigate to precisely where you need to get to.
Our Oxford and Mayfield syndicates have full chiller and larder facilities. Syndicate members may process deer they have shot on a Saturday, where one of our team will be on hand to assist with skinning and butchery.
It depends on the Syndicate. Currently all syndicates have chiller facilities except one located in Basingstoke.
It depends on the stalk ground. Some require you to simply have a basic level of deer stalking experience (assessed by our team), others require DSC1 (or other proof of training such as our Foundation Skills course) and some require DSC1 + 2.
Deer stalkers are required to signup to one of our Membership Plans. Then each deer stalking syndicate is priced individually and costs vary depending on the acreage, deer species and facilities available, such as extraction equipment or chillers/larders.
