Project Description
– Deer Stalking –
The Deer HUB offers excellent deer stalking across the south of England. We have deer stalking to suit all abilities in 9 counties and 30,000 acres of forest, woodland and arable land.
All our deer stalking venues have a consistent number of resident deer and deer stalking is for all 6 UK deer species and wild boar. We offer deer stalking every day throughout the year with only 48 hours’ notice.
Deer Stalking Sessions
Stalk duration is approximately up to 2.5 hours. Starting with a meet and greet you will be offered refreshments followed by a briefing of the hunting estate and what deer are to be targeted that session. All our deer hunting venues have a deer management plan which is strictly adhered to.
All deer stalking sessions offer the opportunity for hunters to progress, and as we get to know you and your stalking ability, we will use every opportunity during stalk sessions to further develop your fieldcraft and deer stalking skills.
At the end of the session, deer stalkers are provided with an evaluation record sheet as a record of the stalk.
The Deer HUB is the Go-To place for all things deer stalking, offering best in class training, courses and mentored deer stalking all over the south of England. If you would like more information or to BOOK a deer stalking session, please call James Mott directly on 0203 995 5881 / 0789 4146643 or email james@deerstalkinghub.co.uk
Our Hunting Guides/Mentors
The Deer HUB has 8 professional stalk guides who are overseen by our Training Director. The Training Director periodically meets our guides to deliver training as required and to ensure all guides are fully up to speed with Deer HUB stalking policies, our deer management plans and our deer stalker training program. With our organised and co-ordinated approach, you can rest assured that you’ll receive 1st class hunter mentoring with knowledgeable and professionally qualified guides/mentors.
All Deer HUB guides hold DSC1 and 2 qualifications as a minimum and 4 of our guides are accredited as Approved Witnesses (AW’s) for the DMQ DSC2 qualification.
Deer Chillers and larders
4 of our estates have full chiller and larder facilities, which is convenient for those who want to learn to gralloch, skin and butcher their own deer as well as experience using a professional larder.
Deer Stalking Costs
Deer stalking is for all six of the UK deer species and UK wild boar. The Deer Hub engages in ‘best practice’ deer management which means that we adhere to the management plan for any particular piece of land.
Costs for ‘pay as you go’ stalking are £295 per session which includes any of the UK ‘s six deer species shot on the session (depending on the venue and resident species). The cost includes rifle/optics and equipment hire and the deer carcase is included. Deer HUB members enjoy discounted stalk rates depending on their level of membership – see our membership options for more information.
Deer stalking with Disabilities
Being able to participate in active outdoor activities is taken for granted by so many of us, but people living with disabilities often face extra challenges that may seem insuperable. Many people however, can still enjoy and participate in deer stalking with some thought and assistance.
The Deer HUB is able to facilitate deer stalking for many people and we regularly accommodate those who live with challenging physical disabilities or who suffer from health conditions, such as COPD, heart disease and diabetes.
We offer a number of options to suit people’s abilities, so please email us at or call us on 0203 995 5881 to discuss your situation and we’ll devise a plan to assist you.
The day of my accident saw my life immediately change, becoming focused on regaining mobility from initially having paralysis then learning to manage chronic pain, ongoing complications with my back recovery, numerous surgeries and other procedures. Despite this, one thing was clear – I was determined to get back enjoying the great outdoors. GF who recovered from a broken back.
